CELL DETACHMENT: Human MG63 fibrosarcoma cells cultured on tissue culture treated dishes in DMEM + 10% FBS were treated with ACCUTASE. Treatment results in rapid cell detachment, a single cell suspension, and high viability. ACCUTASE is gentle on cells; viability was 97 ± 3% even after 45 minutes in ACCUTASE.

Recovery hESCs

hESC cultured in Invitrogen's Stempro hESC Serum and Freeder Free Media (SFM) were harvested either with Accutase or with Collagenase.  Harvested cells were frozen down respectively in the same condition.  After 2 month of Storage in LN2 , vials were thawed and plated respectively. After 1 day of recovery, phase images of the recovered cells, total cell number and viable cell number were obtained from respective group using a Countess automated cell counter.

Application: Accutase performs exceptionally well in detaching cells for: analysis of cell surface markers, virus growth assay, quiescence assays by serum starvation, transformation assays by oncogene transfection, neural crest cell migration assays, cell proliferation, cell haptotaxsis, tumor cell migration assays, routine cell passage, production scale-up (bioreactor), and flow cytometry.

Formulation: Accutase has both protease and collagenolytic activity. Each lot of Accutase is individually formulated to meet quality control standards for effective cell detachment. Accutase is supplied in Dulbecco's PBS containing O.5mM EDTA·4Na and phenol red.
